Non-toxic cookware in the UK

Walk down the pan aisle and you'll be told everything is toxic and everything is the answer, usually by the same shop. It's enough to make you put the kettle on and give up. So let's be calm about it. Most cookware sold in the UK is perfectly fine to cook with, and the differences between materials are real but small, and easy to understand once someone lays them out plainly.

This little hub does exactly that. We go through cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, ceramic and enamel, and yes, non-stick, honestly. Where a material genuinely matters for your health we'll say so, with a source. Where it doesn't, we'll say that too. No scare stories, no miracle pans, just what we'd actually buy and why.
